IMHO works to improve sustainable health care development in under-served areas by creating, complementing, and strengthening health care infrastructure. IMHO responds in times of crisis, helping those on the ground in various communities around the world to respond to the health and medical needs of the people during such times of turmoil and suffering. In general, IMHO works by identifying health needs, and then providing resources and training to accommodate those needs. IMHO believes in a community-based and community-sustained approach, which works with local individuals and partners to implement projects. Through these networks, IMHO has developed health care systems through training medical personnel and students, and providing them with medicine and resources to better assist needy populations. Since its inception IMHO has established three primary health care centers in rural regions, with fully-trained staff and equipment to accommodate most basic medical needs in the area, focusing efforts on essential health education, disease prevention, and treatment. IMHO has also supported various mobile medical clinic programs in regions where people are unable to reach the primary care centers. Through these primary care centers and mobile clinics, IMHO has helped to provide health care to tens of thousands of people. IMHO also works to innovatively supplement health care infrastructure by providing specialized resources. IMHO has provided such resources as medicine, medical books and software, microscopes, sphygmomanometers (blood pressure meters), glucometers for checking blood sugar, ambulances, urological instruments, orthopedic instruments, a dialysis unit, and a gastroenterology unit, among a long list of other medical supplies. IMHO has supported a myriad of efforts related to hospital and clinic development, nutrition, disaster relief & rehabilitation, mental health, and so on, both responding to needs as they arise and looking at the bigger picture of health care infrastructure development.
