Friends and volunteers of the IMHO Texas Chapter organized a BBQ Luncheon fundraising event in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, May 29, 2010. Despite the long holiday weekend, a large gathering including children attended. A PowerPoint presentation from the IMHO Texas Coordinator, S. Nanthakumar, was shown to the attendees and about $3,500 in donations were collected to supplement the already established Texas Rehab Fund for IDP Physical and Mental Rehabilitation. This fund was established to support the Jaffna Jaipur Centre Disability Rehabilitation (JJCDR) project. IMHO is thankful to all the volunteers and friends from the Dallas area who attended the event and for all those who contributed to this important project. |
