EffortsMany of IMHO’s efforts over the years in hospital and clinic development have been in various fields of specialty. With the overarching goal of improving and developing the health care infrastructure in under-served regions, IMHO has supported a myriad of efforts in this regard, helping to improve facilities and resources; train and empower local doctors, staff, and students; and provided other forms of support as needed. One of the organization’s strengths is that it can effectively respond to the immediate needs and requests of those on the ground who know the situation intimately. These efforts have cut across the following major fields of anesthesiology, cancer care, capacity building, cardiology, emergency care, endocrinology, nephrology, pathology, pediatrics, and surgery. |
